Unlocking Fluidity – Let Your Spirit Flow Like A River

A river flows freely, a seamless integration with its environment

It takes great skill and dexterity for humans to emulate this fluid dance of nature. Rather than surrendering control to glide effortlessly and meander as the flow takes us, we struggle, creating waves that may not be necessary. Oh, yes, water in a river goes through some rough territory, but flow it does. We get caught up with the intricacies and complexities of life. I understand, it’s hard not to get entangled in the daily web, unless you live under a rock. The world at large is chaotic, and getting more so, but there are valuable lessons to be learned along the way. The world is a testing ground for our resolve.

No man ever steps in the same river twice, for it’s not the same river and he’s not the same man. – Heraclitus

My husband Cody is and has always been my greatest teacher, sage and compass

Calm and respectful – he flows, unperturbed by the judgments, assumptions, or actions of others. He forges his own path, moving through life with integrity and confidence. As a critical thinker, within the core of his philosophy, (I am taking liberties here) the nature world is his dynamic classroom. Even in challenging times, Cody emanates a composed confidence that is as awe-inspiring as it is enlightening. People gravitate to him quickly because of his lovely spirit and kindness. Cody is my river of peace…

What have I learned?

I have a lot to learn!

The more I learn, the less I know.

I formulate and decipher life in my unique way.

Learning from people I love and respect is a gift I greatly value.

Allowing my mind to still helps bring my body, mind and spirit back into balance. Reflective thought unties the knots.

In a river there is a flow and seamless integration with its environment. Reminder – be flexible, adaptable and unflappable with our environment.

Life’s difficulties and challenges can be profound teachers. Experiencing setbacks, failures, and hardships can lead to personal growth, resilience, and a deeper understanding of one’s capabilities. Living in courage is key in overcoming life’s biggest challenges.
